UK Biotech Golden Triangle Partnership Launched
OBN, LBN and ERBI working closer to achieve global collaborations
We recently wrote to our members to let them know about the Golden Triangle Partnership we have launched with our partners bringing the Oxford and South-East, Greater London and Cambridge and East of England bioclusters closer together. Whilst OBN, LBN and ERBI have always collaborated, we have elected to make it slightly more formalised when liaising with other world leading biotech clusters - this has already provided far greater traction in opening up opportunities with other super-clusters, which we hope will lead to opportunities for our respective members including within international biopartnering and investment activities.
So far this has meant closer working between Jon Rees of OBN (Oxford) Tony Jones of LBN (London) and Harriet Fear (ERBI, Cambridge), beginning with a visit to BIO in Atlanta where we met with John Heffernan (VP MBC) and Joe Panetta (CEO BIOCOM), as well as Governor Duval Patrick of Massachusetts. We also did some joint interviews with industry media GEN, Nature and Pharma TV talking about the Golden Triangle Partnership.
We will keep you posted on progress through our newsletters, citing opportunities as they arise. In the meantime, do feel free to contact me should you have any questions. Any feedback on this new initiative and this spirit of closer working would be welcome.
